These terms cover your use of Kind Care (akind.care and the Kind Care app). By signing up or using the service you agree to them. Questions: contact@akind.care.
By creating an account, logging in, or using any part of the Kind Care service, you agree to be bound by these terms and by our Privacy Policy.
Kind Care is a tool for families and carers to coordinate home care. It lets you keep a care plan, medication list, and visit record in one place, and share what's needed with the people involved in that care.
Kind Care is not a medical device. It does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. In a medical emergency, call your local emergency number.
You must be at least 18 years old and have legal capacity to enter into a contract to use Kind Care.
You're responsible for keeping your password secure and for activity on your account. Let us know immediately at contact@akind.care if you suspect unauthorised use. One person, one account — don't share credentials.
Kind Care has a Free plan and a Plus plan. The Free plan is usable indefinitely at no cost. The Plus plan unlocks additional features and is billed monthly or annually. Current plan details are on our Pricing page.
Paid subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period until cancelled. Prices are shown in EUR; your local currency equivalent is calculated at checkout by Stripe.
You can cancel anytime in Account > Billing. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period — you keep Plus features until that date. We do not provide partial refunds for partial months.
If you believe you've been charged in error, contact contact@akind.care within 30 days and we'll investigate. Outside the automatic cancellation policy above, refunds are discretionary.
You own the care information you put into Kind Care. At any time you can export it (profile, care plan, medications, visits, concerns, fluid log) or request deletion. See our Privacy Policy for detail on how we handle data.
Don't use Kind Care to break the law, harass anyone, or store data you don't have the right to. Don't reverse-engineer the service, scrape it, or use it to build a competing product. Don't try to access other users' data.
As an account owner, you can generate share links that grant a carer access to a specific patient's data. You are responsible for who you give those links to. You can revoke any link at any time from the patient's Share screen.
Carers using share links must use the access solely to provide care for the patient you've shared with them and agree to these terms by accepting the link.
Kind Care is provided as is and as available. We don't guarantee the service will always be error-free or uninterrupted. We don't warrant that the service is suitable for any particular purpose. Nothing in Kind Care constitutes medical advice.
In a medical emergency, call your local emergency number.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim arising from your use of Kind Care is limited to the greater of (a) the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or (b) €100.
We are not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages. Nothing in these terms excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation.
You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from claims arising out of your misuse of the service or breach of these terms.
You can delete your account at any time in Settings > Account. We may suspend or terminate your account for breach of these terms, giving you reasonable notice where practical.
If we make material changes, we'll update the date at the top of this page. Continued use after the effective date means you accept the updated terms. If you don't agree, you can cancel and delete your account at any time from Settings > Account.
These terms are governed by the laws of Portugal. Any dispute will be resolved in the competent Portuguese courts, unless mandatory consumer-protection laws in your country of residence provide otherwise.
